It has been a tough opening stretch for the Madras High School White Buffalos football program. Through two games, the squad sits at 0-2 on the season after road losses at Douglas (September 18) and Winston (September 19 per NFHS Network). The team is now preparing for a pivotal Friday road trip to take on Klamath Union, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. on October 3 in Klamath Falls.
The early-season schedule has been demanding, with the Buffalos playing exclusively on the road to begin the year. Klamath Union will be another test on the road before the home schedule picks up — the team's next home game will be a key opportunity to get the student section and community behind them.
Volleyball Also in Full Swing
The Madras varsity volleyball team has also been working through a busy stretch. The Buffalos dropped a home conference match to The Dalles on September 23, falling 3-1 to the visiting squad. Earlier in the month, Madras competed in the Sisters Tournament, facing a stiff test against Banks and falling 2-0 in that tournament match.
The schedule remains packed heading into October, with league play intensifying. Volleyball is set to host another home match at 6 p.m. on a date to be confirmed — fans can check the Madras High School athletic schedule for the latest game times and locations.

With fall sports in full swing, the Madras community is encouraged to come out and support student athletes across all programs.
