Summer in Jefferson County is hitting full stride. Between community markets, major festivals, cultural celebrations, and family-friendly traditions, there’s something happening across the county almost every weekend through July. Here’s your guide to what’s coming up.
This Week (June 8–14)
- WAK-9 Service Dogs Benefit Dinner — 4–8 p.m., June 9, Desert Inn. Silent auction, Ruff Land Kennel raffle, firearms raffle. Supports WAK-9 Training, the Madras-based service dog and veteran support organization. Info: wak9training.com
- Taproom Talks — 5:30–7 p.m., June 10, Over the Edge Taphouse. Featuring Capstone Accounting and Tax.

- Madras Saturday Market — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through Sept. 5, Sahalee Park. Artisan goods, baked goods, food vendors, and more.
- 9th Annual Car Show — June 13, Indian Head Casino. Classic and custom vehicles on display.

Mid-June
- Made in Jefferson County EDCO Tour — 8:30 a.m.‑2 p.m., June 18. Behind-the-scenes at Central Oregon Seed, Keith Manufacturing, and Poland Organic Dairy. Tickets at eventbrite.com
- Legends Reloaded Music Festival — June 19–20, Jefferson County Event Complex. Two-day classic rock tribute band festival. All ages. Info: harefest.com
Late June
- Madras Rock and Gem Show — Opens 11 a.m. June 23, runs through June 28, Jefferson County Event Complex. A longtime favorite for collectors and families.
- Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club Dog Show — June 25–28, Jefferson County Event Complex.
- Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days — June 26–28, Warm Springs. Annual tribal celebration with powwow, parade, rodeo, and stick game tournament. Parade theme: “Honoring the Horses.” Open to the public. Powwow info: Robinson Mitchell, 541-325-2968.
- Metolius Summer Kick-Off — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 27, Metolius Train Depot and Desert Inn. Pancake breakfast, live band, kids karaoke, silent auction, games and prizes. Free family fun.
July
- Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo — July 21–25, Jefferson County Event Complex, Madras. The anchor event of Jefferson County’s summer calendar. More details to come as the date approaches.
Ongoing Events
- Sunday Acoustic Jam Sessions — 4–6 p.m., first and third Sundays, Over the Edge Taphouse. Bluegrass, old-time country.
- Culver Bingo — 6 p.m., third Friday of the month, Culver Christian Church.
- Youth Drop-in Center — 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday–Thursday, PIRS, 29 D St., Madras. Ages 11+. Board games, arts and crafts, safe space for youth.
- Madras Runners — 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday at MHS track. Walkers and runners both welcome.
