Summer is arriving in Jefferson County with a full slate of community events spread across Madras, Warm Springs, Culver, Metolius and beyond. Here's a rundown of what's happening this month.

WAK-9 Service Dogs Benefit Dinner — June 9

Support local service dog training at this annual fundraiser dinner from 4–8 p.m. at the Desert Inn. The event includes a silent auction, a Ruff Land Kennel raffle, and a firearms raffle (9mm and AR). WAK-9 trains service dogs for veterans and others in the community.

Taproom Talks — June 10

The monthly Taproom Talks series continues at Over the Edge Taphouse from 5:30–7 p.m. This session features Capstone Accounting and Tax. A casual, community-oriented business networking event.

Coffee Cuppers — June 11

Next Weekend

Ninth Annual Car Show — June 13, Indian Head Casino

The popular annual car show returns to the Indian Head Casino in Warm Springs. A great family outing with vehicles from across the region on display. Check with Indian Head Casino for specific show hours.

Culver Community-Wide Yard Sales — June 13

Bargain hunters take note: Culver's community yard sales are back on June 13. Address guides will be available starting June 10. Call the City of Culver at 541-546-6494 for more information.

Madras Saturday Market

The Saturday Market runs every Saturday through September 5, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sahalee Park. Artisan items, baked goods, handmade products, food and more. Rain or shine.

Made in Jefferson County Tour — June 18

Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) presents the 2026 Made in Jefferson County Tour from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This year's stops include Central Oregon Seed, Inc., Keith Manufacturing Co., and Poland Organic Dairy — three homegrown businesses showcasing the county's manufacturing and agricultural depth. Madras Rock and Gem Show — June 23–28

The Jefferson County Event Complex hosts the annual Rock and Gem Show, opening at 11 a.m. on June 23 and running through June 28. A destination event for collectors and families alike.

Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club Dog Show — June 25–28

Also at the Jefferson County Event Complex, the Kennel Club brings its multi-day dog show to Madras. Spectator-friendly and family-approved.

Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days — June 26–28, Warm Springs

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs host their annual cultural celebration with powwow, parade, rodeo, and stick games. This year's parade theme is "Honoring the Horses." Open to the public. See our separate story for full details.

Metolius Summer Kick-Off — June 27

Metolius celebrates summer from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Metolius Train Depot and Desert Inn Bar and Grill. Pancake breakfast at the depot; lunch at the Desert Inn. Free family fun includes kids karaoke at 10 a.m., live band from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., silent auction, games, and prizes. A great excuse to explore one of the county's small communities.

  • Free Youth Open Gym Basketball — Fridays, 6–9 p.m., Bridges High School. Gym shoes required. Call Jefferson County Public Health at 541-475-4456.
  • Sunday Acoustic Jam Sessions — 4–6 p.m., first and third Sundays, Over the Edge Taphouse. Bluegrass, bluegrass-adjacent, and old time country.
  • Culver Bingo — 6 p.m., third Friday of the month, Culver Christian Church. Hosted by the Culver Community Improvement Group.
