One of summer's most beloved traditions in Jefferson County is right around the corner: the Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo runs July 21–25, 2026, at the Jefferson County Event Complex (Fairgrounds) on Fairgrounds Road in Madras.

The 50-plus-acre complex, with more than 100,000 square feet of event space across 20 buildings and barns, will again serve as the heart of county summer celebration — bringing together residents from Madras, Culver, Metolius, Crooked River Ranch, Warm Springs, and communities across Jefferson County.

One Change This Year: No Carnival

Fair organizers have confirmed that the 2026 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo will not include a carnival this year. While the rides and midway attractions will be absent, the core events that define the county fair experience remain intact — the rodeo, livestock exhibitions, 4-H and FFA competitions, local vendors, and community exhibits.

The fair is a vital tradition for Jefferson County's agricultural community, providing young people a chance to show animals they've raised throughout the year, and giving the broader county a chance to come together at the height of summer.
