Mark your calendars: the Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo returns to the Jefferson County Event Complex in Madras from July 21–25, 2026. One of the most beloved traditions in Central Oregon, the five-day fair brings together 4-H and FFA youth, local vendors, carnival rides, livestock shows, live entertainment, and rodeo action on the grounds at Fairgrounds Road.

A County Tradition

The Jefferson County Fair has been a cornerstone of summer life in this community for generations. It’s where farm kids show the animals they’ve raised all year, where local businesses set up booths, where families spend long summer evenings at the carnival, and where the county comes together in a way that’s harder to find anywhere else.

The fair draws attendees from across Jefferson County — Madras, Culver, Metolius, Warm Springs, Crooked River Ranch, and beyond — as well as visitors from Bend, Redmond, and the broader region. For many families, it’s the social highlight of the summer.

Rodeo Nights

The rodeo remains one of the fair’s biggest draws, featuring bull riding, barrel racing, roping, and other events that reflect the deep agricultural and ranching heritage of Jefferson County. Competitors and spectators from across the Pacific Northwest travel to Madras for the rodeo each year.

A Busy Summer at the Event Complex

The Jefferson County Event Complex has already seen significant activity this summer, with Legends Reloaded (June 19–20), the Madras Rock and Gem Show (June 23–28), and the Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club Dog Show (June 25–28) all scheduled ahead of the fair. The complex’s 50-plus acres in the heart of Madras make it one of Central Oregon’s busiest rural event venues.
