The Madras High School White Buffalos football program wraps up the 2026 season on the road Thursday night, traveling to Sisters for a 7 p.m. kickoff on October 30. It is the final game of a tough but formative fall campaign for the White Buffalos.
Senior Night Honors the Class of 2027
Before heading into the season finale, Madras honored its senior athletes during Senior Night on October 23 in the home game against Creswell. The ceremony gave families, classmates, and community supporters a chance to recognize the players who have dedicated years to the White Buffalos program. Senior Night is among the most emotionally resonant events of any high school sports season — and at Madras, it draws the community together on the home sideline.
A Competitive Season
The 2026 White Buffalos finished the regular season with a 1-5 overall record, facing a competitive schedule in the Tri-River Conference. While wins have been difficult to earn this year, the team has competed with determination, and younger players gained valuable varsity experience throughout the fall that should benefit the program heading into 2027.
The coaching staff has emphasized player development and team-building as core priorities, and the foundation being laid this season — particularly among underclassmen — is expected to pay dividends in the years ahead as the program continues to grow.
Volleyball and Fall Sports Winding Down
Volleyball competition also continues for Madras High School as fall sports enter their final stretch. White Buffalo volleyball athletes have been competing throughout October, adding to the community athletic calendar alongside the football program.
Looking Ahead to Winter Sports
With football concluding and volleyball entering its postseason window, attention at Madras High School will soon shift to winter athletics. Boys and girls basketball programs, along with wrestling and other winter sports, will begin ramp-up activities in the coming weeks.
Fans traveling to Sisters for Thursday night's finale are encouraged to confirm details with the school ahead of departure. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Come out and send the seniors off right.
