Evacuation warnings issued Monday for the Jordan Fire near Lake Billy Chinook have been lifted, according to updated information from Central Oregon Fire Management Service. The fire, which ignited Monday afternoon approximately five miles southwest of the reservoir, is now estimated at 2 acres with no structures currently threatened.
Level 1 "Be Ready" and Level 2 "Be Set" evacuation warnings were briefly issued for residents in the immediate area Monday evening as the fire showed active spread in grass, brush, and timber fuels. By Tuesday morning, those warnings had been dropped following suppression efforts by interagency crews.
