The Plateau Travel Plaza in Warm Springs is throwing open its newly expanded doors to the public this Saturday, July 11, with a grand reopening celebration running from noon to 9 p.m.

Owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs through Warm Springs Casino Enterprises, the travel plaza underwent a significant expansion and renovation project. The improvements include a doubled gaming room, expanded fresh food and dining options, new ice cream offerings, more drink selections in the convenience store, and a new coffee station.

"Our guests have been telling us what they want, and we've been listening," said Shawn McDaniel, General Manager of Plateau Travel Plaza and Indian Head Casino. "This expansion is about delivering on those requests — more gaming, more dining and more convenience — all in a space that reflects the pride and hospitality of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs."

What to Expect Saturday

The July 11 public grand reopening will feature:

  • Promotional fuel discounts
  • Menu tastings in the Three Tepees Café
  • Local DJ from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.
  • Live music from the Brewers Grade Band, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
  • A drone show beginning at 9:00 p.m., estimated to last about 30 minutes

Tribal Members Got a Head Start

Tribal members received an exclusive soft opening on Monday, July 6, with promotional fuel discounts, free refreshments, giveaways, and access to the full Three Tepees Café menu.

The expansion project was led by Kirby Construction and KMB Architects of Bend. The Plateau Travel Plaza sits along U.S. Highway 26 and serves as a major commercial hub for the Warm Springs Reservation community and travelers moving through Central Oregon.
