The Plateau Travel Plaza — owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs through Warm Springs Casino Enterprises — is throwing open its newly expanded doors on Friday, July 11, with a grand reopening celebration that includes live music, promotional fuel discounts, menu tastings, and a drone light show.

What's New

The expansion project, led by Kirby Construction and KMB Architects of Bend, significantly upgraded and enlarged the facility. Highlights include:

  • A gaming room that has been doubled in size
  • Expanded fresh food and dining options
  • New ice cream offerings
  • Additional drink selections in the convenience store
  • A new coffee station

"Our guests have been telling us what they want, and we've been listening," said Shawn McDaniel, General Manager of Plateau Travel Plaza and Indian Head Casino, in a press release. "This expansion is about delivering on those requests — more gaming, more dining and more convenience — all in a space that reflects the pride and hospitality of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs."

Grand Reopening Day Schedule

The July 11 celebration will include a full day of activities:

  • Promotional fuel discounts throughout the day
  • Menu tastings in the cafe
  • Local DJ spinning music from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
  • Live performance by the Brewers Grade Band from 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Drone light show beginning at 9 p.m., estimated to last approximately 30 minutes

A Tribal Enterprise Serving the Region

The Plateau Travel Plaza, located on the Warm Springs Reservation along U.S. Highway 26, serves travelers between Madras and the Portland metro area as well as Warm Springs community members. It is one of several enterprises operated by the Confederated Tribes that contribute to the reservation economy and provide jobs for tribal members and area residents.

The expansion reflects continued investment by the Tribes in their commercial enterprises — a trend that has grown as the Tribes work to build economic self-sufficiency and fund tribal government services.

The grand reopening is open to the public. For more information, contact Plateau Travel Plaza directly or visit the Indian Head Casino website.
