Travelers and residents along the U.S. Highway 26 corridor will have something new to look forward to next week: the Plateau Travel Plaza is celebrating its grand reopening on Saturday, July 11 following a significant expansion and renovation.

The plaza, owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs through Warm Springs Casino Enterprises, has undergone a major transformation. The project was designed and built by Kirby Construction and KMB Architects of Bend.

What's New

  • The gaming room has doubled in size
  • Expanded fresh food and dining options
  • New ice cream offerings
  • More drink selections in the convenience store
  • A new coffee station

General Manager Shawn McDaniel said the expansion directly reflects what customers have been asking for.

"Our guests have been telling us what they want, and we've been listening. This expansion is about delivering on those requests — more gaming, more dining and more convenience — all in a space that reflects the pride and hospitality of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs."

Grand Reopening Day Events

The July 11 reopening celebration will include:

  • Promotional fuel discounts
  • Menu tastings in the café
  • Local DJ from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.
  • The Brewers Grade Band performing from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
  • A drone show beginning at 9:00 p.m. (estimated 30 minutes)

The Plateau Travel Plaza sits at a key junction along the Warm Springs Reservation corridor and serves as both a convenience stop and a gateway to the Indian Head Casino. The expansion represents a continued investment by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs in tribal enterprise and economic development along the Highway 26 corridor.
