Artists from the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs have one final opportunity to participate in the 33rd Annual Tribal Member Art Exhibit at the Museum at Warm Springs — but time is running short. The deadline to submit artwork for display purposes only is Tuesday, October 27, at 5 p.m.
The exhibit is one of the region's most celebrated annual cultural events, showcasing the creative talents of both adult and youth tribal member artists. Works have historically spanned a wide range of media — beadwork, painting, photography, weaving, regalia, pottery, sculpture, and mixed media — reflecting the rich artistic traditions and contemporary voices of the Warm Springs, Wasco, and Paiute peoples.
How to Submit
The deadline for work submitted for judging has already passed, but the museum is still welcoming additional pieces for display. Artists who wish to be part of the exhibit must:
- Pick up an application form at the Museum at Warm Springs front desk
- Submit the completed application along with the artwork
- Deliver everything to the museum no later than Tuesday, October 27, at 5 p.m.
A Living Cultural Institution
The Museum at Warm Springs, located at 2189 Highway 26 in Warm Springs, is one of Oregon's most distinctive cultural institutions. Its permanent collection houses thousands of objects — baskets, beadwork, clothing, tools, and photographic archives — documenting thousands of years of Indigenous life in the Columbia Plateau region.
The annual Tribal Member Art Exhibit goes beyond the permanent collection to spotlight living artists who are carrying those traditions forward and forging new ones. The 33rd edition of the show continues that legacy, offering visitors a glimpse into the creative life of today's Warm Springs community.
The exhibit is a celebration of the creativity and cultural vitality of our tribal community — from our youngest artists to our most experienced elders.
Plan Your Visit
Once the exhibit opens, community members, schoolchildren, and visitors from across Jefferson County and Central Oregon are encouraged to stop in and experience the work. The museum is a short and scenic drive from Madras along U.S. 26.
