A deputy responding to a vehicle crash north of Madras determined that the driver was operating under the influence. The incident is among several traffic-related calls logged by the JCSO during the period, reflecting continued concerns about impaired driving on rural Jefferson County roads.

A JCSO deputy received a report of a domestic violence assault in Crooked River Ranch (CRR). The call is consistent with a pattern of domestic-related calls the department fields year-round across its unincorporated communities. Wanted Subject Arrested in Madras
In a separate incident, a JCSO deputy located a wanted subject, identified as Ulysses Jefferson, 41, of Madras, and took him into custody on an outstanding Jefferson County warrant. No additional charges were reported in connection with the arrest at this time.
